What is Boerum Saddles’ trial policy?
Upon purchase, all saddles come with a (3) business day trial unless otherwise indicated on the saddle’s individual description page.
Saddles that are described as "new” or in “like-new” condition will often be ineligible for trial due to their minimal or never-used condition. Saddle’s that have popular specs may also be unavailable for trial due to high-demand and quick turnaround times. If a saddle’s description page indicates that it is not available for trial, then the saddle is available for final-sale purchase only.
The purpose of our trial period is to allow you to determine whether the saddle is the correct fit for you and your horse. The trial also provides you with a window to decide whether you’d like to keep or return your saddle. In the event of a return, all saddles must be returned to Boerum saddles in the condition received.
When you receive your saddle you will find a prepaid return label included in the shipment box. Please be sure to keep this label safe! The return address on the return shipment label (i.e., where the saddle is being shipped from) will be the same address that we’ve shipped your saddle to.
All saddles are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage and are insured for the full amount of the purchase price. The three-day trial begins on the day of USPS tracking indicates the saddle has been delivered to your business or residence. Non-business days will not count within the three business day trial period.
What is Boerum Saddles’ return policy?
If you would like to return the saddle you have purchased from Boerum Saddles there is no restocking fee. You are responsible for informing us that you will be returning the saddle on or before the third-business day of your trial. We can be contacted at boerumsaddles@gmail.com.
In the event of return, we ask that you pack the saddle in the same careful manner that we have and drop the saddle off at USPS (standard post office) or other retailer (e.g., Staples) that serves as a USPS drop-off center. You must return ship your saddle within the 3 business day trial window.
If you do not inform us of a return within the trial period, and tracking does not show that the saddle is en-route back to Boerum Saddles, we will contact you on the final day of your trial to ask whether you intend to keep your saddle. If we do not hear back from you by the third business day of the trial, the saddle will become final sale.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs $130.00 and is paid at checkout. The cost of shipment is non-refundable for all saddles. If you keep your saddle, the total cost of shipping is $130.00 which includes full insurance and tracking via USPS Ground Advantage. Return shipment is the same cost of $130.00.
A prepaid return shipping label will be provided for you in the box with your saddle. When we receive the saddle from your return you will be fully refunded for your saddle purchase less the $130.00 shipment cost to you, and the $130 return shipment cost back to Boerum Saddles. Therefore, in the event the saddle is being shipped out to you and returned by you, the total non-refundable cost of shipment is $260.00.
All saddle refunds will be initiated the day we have received the saddle, and will post to your account in three business days.
Does Boerum Saddles offer payment plans?
Boerum Saddles has a Klarna option at checkout which can be used to make payments on your saddle over time.
