17.5" / 17" Tad Coffin A5SR Smart Ride Performance Saddle - 2011 - Grain / Calf

$2,495.00

Brand: Tad Coffin

Model: A5SR (SmartRide / Smart Ride Technology)

Seat Size: 17.5" / 17" - while this saddle is stamped "75" - indicating a 17.5" seat - Tad's run about a half size small, meaning that this saddle would be appropriate for a rider seeking a 17" seat

Year of Manufacture: 2011

Leather: Grain / Calf

Color: Dark Brown

Region of Manufacture: Virginia, U.S.A (made with French leather)

Flaps: measure 13.5" from stirrup bar to bottom of flap and 13" across flaps at widest point

Tree: measures 5" at gullet opening

Billets: very good

Blocks: front and back

Condition: This saddle is in good preowned condition with signs of wear. The knee flaps will likely need to be redone in the near future as they are not super firm/plump, and show wear toward seam on left side. The panels are actually lovely and overall nice and plump (rare for a tad) but there is mild deflation starting to occur toward the cantle (the panels do not need to be redone at current). There is some mild wear to the rain on the left flap toward the bottom of the flap and some wear on the side of the seat. The saddle is as appears in all photos and is ready for its next rider. Like all Tads, there is always the need to plan for maintenance due to the very minimalist close contact design. Nonetheless, many parts of the saddle are in wonderful condition, and this saddle retails for $9600 new with a 6 month wait period. It's a rare find!
